As one of the oldest and best-preserved Swahili settlements in East Africa, Lamu Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. With roots dating back to the 14th century, the town reflects a rich blend of African, Arab, and Indian influences. Walking through its narrow streets, you’ll discover centuries-old forts, museums, and traditional Swahili architecture, offering a glimpse into the island’s fascinating past as a key trading hub on the Indian Ocean.
Escape to the serene and historical island of Lamu, Kenya, for a relaxing 3-day, 2-night getaway. This experience includes a sunset dhow cruise, an immersive tour of Lamu Old Town, and a snorkeling adventure with a beachside fish barbecue. Guests will be treated to two nights of comfortable accommodation, plus boat transfers and meals, with plenty of time to explore the island’s culture and natural beauty.

Itinerary
Day 1: NAIROBI – LAMU
Pick-up from Lamu Airport and transfer to your hotel in Lamu Island.
Later in the evening enjoy a sunset Dhow Cruise
Watch the sun set over Lamu Island whilst sailing in the channel or along the shores of Manda Island. Traditional Swahili snacks and water included.
Dinner & Overnight at your hotel
Day 2: LAMU
Breakfast at the hotel
After Breakfast enjoy a city tour of Lamu old Town accompanied by a professional tour guide as they offer you the exciting history of Lamu from traditional times through recent modernization. The tour includes: Lamu forts, Swahili House Museum & Lamu Museum, Lamu Market, Germany Post office (the first post office in Lamu) and the Donkey Sanctuary having a chance to ride a donkey.
After the tour proceed to Manda Toto or Kipungani or Kinyika. Here you will have a chance for snorkeling depending on the weather, to see puffers, clownfish, the remaining coral and if lucky a turtle. During lunch time we will go to the beach and enjoy a fish barbeque lunch.

Day 3: LAMU – NAIROBI
Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the airport
