Remote Year Global Adventures are 5-10 day itinerary-based trips that are designed for travelers who want to get away for a short period of time, with a small amount of capacity for work but mostly leisure. Yes, participants have the option to work during the trips, although the focus is primarily on leisure. Global Adventures are designed to be shorter in duration than Remote Year's longer-term programs, and are intended to provide a break from the routine of remote work while still allowing participants to stay connected and productive. Ability to work will vary for each experience depending on the itinerary. For example, hiking in the mountains or spending a day out at sea is not conducive to work, but checking in at the hotel in the morning or evenings is typically a possibility.

On an impact adventure, the vibe might be a bit more chill, but super rewarding as we work together to make a positive change in local communities. Yes, 99% of the time. Global Adventures are exclusive to our Remote Year community as long as we hit our minimum number of participants. If we fall a bit short, we might think about inviting others to join us, or some parts of the adventure might get mixed in with other groups.

No, there aren't any full-time Remote Year staff on Global Adventures. Instead, we rely on our awesome local partners who know the lay of the land to manage things on the ground. They're the pros at making sure you have an amazing experience!
