Meet Our Local Host 

Our host, Marcia, is a highly experienced flight instructor with over 30 years of expertise in paragliding. As a pioneer in paragliding in the State of Santa Catarina and one of the first in the country, she brings extensive knowledge and passion to ensure a safe and exhilarating experience. Marcia, along with her partner and children, operates Parapente Sul, a renowned paragliding reference in the South of Brazil.

Additional information: The flight will be confirmed on the day, as it is dependent on the wind conditions. By the end of the flight, you will receive your belongings back from one of the instructors. After booking please contact Thiago with your preferred date and flight location in order to confirm availability with vendor
This experience is subject to weather conditions. This means that whenever the wind and weather are favorable for flying, the vendor will get in touch with us on the day of the activity. Typically, this allows some flexibility to reschedule your day. If you're unable to make it on that day, don't worry—we can try another day.

There is a possibility the wind may change on your way there. We'll only let you fly if you are 100% safe on the experience. That's why we don't take any risks if the wind is not in favor.

Any restrictions or health problems?
In any case, if the passenger has a health condition, such as heart disease, knee injuries, spine injuries, etc., a doctor should be consulted before embarking on this type of activity.

Paragliding is not very physically demanding, but it is always wise to have this evaluation from your doctor.

How Can I trust the instructor who will fly with me?
When doing a tandem flight, the pilot/instructor's mentality must be very different from when he flies alone.
It is also necessary to know if this pilot/instructor is qualified and approved by the recognized flight associations in Brazil

Do I need a course to do a tandem flight?
It is not necessary to take a course, just basic prior instruction and that's it!

Can I choose where I am going to fly? Do you fly every day?
It is always dependent on weather conditions to fly, and it is not possible to fly every day.
The direction of the wind tells us which of the places it will be possible to fly to that day.

Does it require a lot of physical effort?
It takes almost nothing, a little run, and you're already up.

Can I get sick on the flight?
Normally not, but if you tend to get sick when traveling by car or bus, it's wise to take some anti-sickness medicine a few minutes beforehand, available at any pharmacy, without the need for a prescription.

Is double flying dangerous?
Paragliding is a sport that involves risks. The way to mitigate this risk is to fly only in favorable weather conditions, with new and revised equipment, and with certified and experienced instructors.

Does this experience provide accident insurance?
No, Brazil does not have insurances that cover extreme sports. You should contact your insurance to make sure you are covered in the rare case of an accident.
