fREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
great day exploring a vibrant neighborhood with a local, ending with amazing views and hospitality.
After a steep drive up to Morro da Mariquinha, we started the climb up and through the favela. Alex, our tour guide who started the art gallery concept in Mariquinha, gave us all the details on the community and the art movement that's changed lives of community members. The street art is beautiful and it was heartwarming to see all the community members stop and say hello to Alex. After climbing to the top, we stayed for drinks and snacks and AMAZING views of the city at sunset. The local neighborhood kids showed off their dancing and singing skills. I definitely felt like I was apart of the community and saw how much everyone cares about each other. A lot of stairs and climbing so be cautious.
