Description

Let’s learn the beauty of Japanese writing. Knowing the story behind the handwriting and what it says about you!
This local experience offers a great opportunity to immerse into this long rich history of Japanese calligraphy, an art with different styles and expressions during its over 3000 years.

Meet Our Local Host 

Satoko Hayashi has 30 years of calligraphy experience, 8 years as a lecturer and she won the “Japan-China Association Award” twice at the Japan Calligraphy Exhibition.
She also decided to expand her teaching network by participating in a workshop at Japan Expo Paris 2022.

Itinerary 

 

Start time: 2:00 pm Meet Ken at the entrance of “Takashimaya”.
Walk 10 minutes to Nippombashi Station.
Ride for 3 stops to Kitahama Station with Sakaisuji Line (Brown Line ).
Walk 12 minutes
Start of Shodo Class.
End time:  4:30 pm

What’s Included

All the necessary materials such as brush, ink  and paper.
Take home your own writing.
Take videos and pictures from the experience.
