Meet Our Local Host
Museo Comunitario was thought by a secondary school student as a way to use tourism in order to help overcome the prejudice against Isla Maciel. This is a neighborhood right next to Buenos Aires city, in a vulnerable area of the province only separated by a river but with a common history as a port and industrial area in the XIX century. They have created a museum that offers several cultural activities and workshops which supports diners and local schools, promotes local art expressions, organizes tours for promoting the diffusion of their history and heritage, keeping in mind the community participation of neighbors, school students and volunteers.
