Description
Valencia is the home of the original paella and nowhere in the world will you find more local foodie paella snobs than in the local towns surrounding the city.
Paella is not just a meal, it is an art to be practiced and rarely perfected for a lifetime. The best way to have paella is in the countryside, as traditionally we make paella over open fire or over gas rings.
In this workshop you will get to know the "El Cabanyal" neighborhood with an expert guide. You will learn the intricate details of this elaborate dish of the most typical chicken and rabbit paella, as well as the vegetable paella, while participating in preparing a meal with a some typical Spanish appetizers and you will taste our famous Agua de Valencia.

Paella cooking may sound like a basic experience, but this was one of the most wholesome, pleasurable experiences of our whole trip. Getting to experience the whole 'Spanish casual sunday' Paella making experience with wine, food and friends in a leafy location with great hosts was really special.

Paella now occupies my brain

This is a really fun way to just enjoy the casual but authentic Valencia with real, lovely Valencians. The Paella is delicious and there are many ways to get involved making it, the conversation flows, the setting is quaint and quiet, and the hosts are extremely charming.

If you are very lucky, Vicente Sr. might play you a little tune on his guitar. What could be better than this!?

You'll get to learn how to make the paella

A laid back and fun cooking experience coupled with local drinks and music. You'll get to learn how to make the paella, the reason behind each step in the cooking process as well as get hands on with the cooking. Highly recommended!
