Description
Ocakbasi is a type of Turkish cuisine that resembles barbeque. It is mostly meat-based and is known for its kebab and doner. In this fulfilling experience, you will get to sit down at the traditional Ocakbasi restaurant Zubeyir. It will follow a korean-barbeque style structure with a chef cooking your order and interactively answering any questions you may have. While you learn more about the Ocakbasi making-process and the history of the restaurant, your lovely City Manager will be present to feed you more information regarding the broader context of Turkish Ocakbasi.

Meet Our Local Host
One of the chefs of the restaurant will be assigned to our table where he will cook for us and answer questions, and walk us through his cooking process.
Itinerary
13.00 pm: Meet at Zubeyir, sit down at your table and meet the chef.
Get to ordering and learning about the Ocakbasi.
While your food cooks make sure to ask everything in your mind about the cuisine.
Eat until you are full and show gratitude to the chef.
16:00 pm: Return back to Kadikoy through a ferry ride or while you are there, walk around the beautiful streets of Beyoglu.
