This local experience offers a great opportunity to immerse into this long rich history of Japanese calligraphy, an art with different styles and expressions during its over 3000 years.

Meet Our Local Host
Satoko Hayashi has 30 years of calligraphy experience, 8 years as a lecturer and she won the “Japan-China Association Award” twice at the Japan Calligraphy Exhibition.
She also decided to expand her teaching network by participating in a workshop at Japan Expo Paris 2022.
Itinerary
Start time: 2:15 pm Meet Ken at the entrance of “Takashimaya”.
- Take train at Namba station (Nakai-Koya Line)
- Ride 4 stops (19 minutes)
- Get off at Kitanoda station
- Walk 5 minutes
- Start of the class
- Finish 4:30 PM
- Return to Namba station
