Description
In this trip, you will be traveling to a village tucked away high in the mountains in the northeast part of Bali. You will be able to learn about salak - the fruit which the locals are very proud of their skills to farm and make it into Bali’s only snakeskin fruit wine.

The trip includes forest trekking, interacting with the locals as well as enjoying the homemade dishes made with the warmth of the locals in Dukuh Sibetan Village. The total trip takes about 9 hours.

Meet Our Local Host
In this trip, you will be guided by a group of local people who run ecotourism for their village. In which all the profits and contributions will stay and be used for the development of the village. You will also have the chance to meet the cultural head of the village on this trip to get to know how the local people in Dukuh Sibetan Village live their daily life.

Itinerary
- Pick up at accommodation
- Travel to Dukuh Sibetan Village
- Upon arrival, you will get welcomed by local snacks and fruits over freshly brewed Balinese coffee while interacting to the locals about their daily life
- A walk through the Salak plantation to see and taste some of the 14 varieties of the fruit - in which one of it tastes like pineapple!
- Stroll down to see where the Salak is then processed into wine. Where you can also get a chance to learn about other crops and flowers that are grown and used for local cuisine
- Lunch at a local homes which includes some local Sibetan cuisine and Balinese dishes
- Stroll around the village to see some basket weavers in action, visit a local temple, local school or more energetic trek through a tropical surrounding
- Visit Pemukuran from where you would be able to view the picturesque southern coastline of Bali and nearby islands. You may even see local kids flying their kites.

– The trip is going to take about 2-3 hours one way (could be more depending on the traffic) to the Northeast of Bali. Make sure you have already had breakfast beforehand. Or pack light bites with you.

There will be forest trekking included in this experience - so wear a closed shoes with good grips

– Since the village is located in the mountains area, this area might get colder compared to Canggu - so bring a jacket and or long pants
