Trek into a tropical forest
Swim in a natural pool
Try out some feni cocktails
Traditional & authentic Goan cuisine
Experience how Goans celebrate the monsoon, friends and family! It is very common for Goan folk to go back to the forest, swim in a stream whilst drinking and eating merrily! Our grandparents did it, our parents did it and by god, we are doing it FULL POWER! A big part of being Goan is honoring your connection to nature. The bond between Earth and Man is true and sacred and deserves celebration!
We have a village breakfast at a mid-point before hopping back into your respective vehicles and following your host for about 40 minutes to a parking point. Then a countryside trek, across streams, small climbs, traditional forest paths of about 40 minutes that gets you to this gem. Chill here for a couple of hours, grab some snacks. Later, trek back, hop into your vehicle and follow your Local Beat Fellow for 15 minutes to a local’s home for a traditional Gaud Saraswat lunch. Down a couple of freshly made Feni cocktails and dig into a traditional lunch over stories of the village. Some of the ingredients for the lunch are picked from the surrounding hills.

Please listen to the Local Beat friend. And even if you are a pro swimmer, do not jump without a lifejacket. Thrills are plenty at this spot, and safety goes hand in hand. Leap off only from the pointed-out spots. We have checked the depth and know which spots are completely safe to jump from. Also do not venture into the forests on your own; tell your Local Beat friend and they will take you around. Please remember that you will be required to sign an indemnity form furnished by your host.
