Description
We will start our walking tour at the famous Old Biscuit Mill. Formerly a biscuit mill in the 1900's and now home to a range of workshops, designer stores and decadent restaurants. Every Saturday morning a firm local favourite, The Neighbourgood's Market is hosted here. Be taken on an in-depth journey of the powerful stories behind the murals and be given an insight into Salt River. This area is considered a hidden gem and is known for its creative scene in the heart of Cape Town. You will meet the locals in the area, experience Cape Town's subcultures, learn about the artists, their message, different techniques and how street art is changing the perspective in these local communities.

Baz Art is a NPO whose vision is to showcase the power of street art and its ability to transform communities especially Salt River and Woodstock. Sipho, one of the street art guides for Baz Art, originally from Johannesburg, will take you on an in-depth walking and street art tour to learn about the powerful influence art has on a community
Naz is born and bread in Salt River and will host us in her home. She runs her own catering business and is a pillar in the community in terms of her charity work. You will have the chance to chat to her about the area as well as the delicious South African treats she will make for you.
