Description
You will feel like a true artisan experiencing the casting technique in plaster molds, used in El Carmen de Viboral for the elaboration of ceramic pieces. They are unique to the region and the world. No two ceramic pieces are the same, as everything is uniquely handmade since the 1880s.
The methodology implemented by the artisans; between clay, brushes and pigments allows the apprentice to design their own patterns, painting their own plates and mugs as they discover each of us have innate artistic abilities.
You will polish and decorate two items: a cup size mug and also a 21cm (8.5 Inches) diameter bisque plate in the local underglaze technique with your personalized design. You get to keep the two unique pieces
It is of the utmost importance for Colombia to keep alive the traditions that define the culture of our country. Therefore, we consider that keeping these elements in the collective imagination and under protection is an effort that demands a commitment from all of us (locals and visitors).
