Description
This event takes us to two local villages, San Juan Del Obispo and Santa Maria De Jesus, both chosen for their great views of Antigua (intentionally designed for local rulers). So much interesting history surrounding these places, all of which to be told by our local Bi-lingual guide. The first village stop is 15 mins from Antigua, and our guide will be travelling with us from the start so we’ve maximum time to get a thorough history of the area. And no tour is complete without a bit of commercialism! We’ll of course take you round the local markets, sampling local fruits. And then what goes well with fruit? Chocolate!
We’ll also visit a traditional chocolate workshop, specialising in the chocolate tablets used for hot chocolate, just 10 mins on foot within the village. And yes, samples are included :) The second village stop, a further 15 mins away, is even more rural, with even less tourists, allowing for unspoiled insight into village life. The whole tour lasts 5 hours from start to finish, and you’ll certainly have your fill of views, Churches and chocolate.
This experience is mainly focused on people who love markets and culture.
