Safari Experience in The Manyeleti (Greater Kruger Park)
Walking Safari Experience in The Kruger Park

Description

This authentic South African  Safari experience touches down at Hoedspruit Airport, the mini hub of the African Bush.  You will be met at the airport by your hosts Mike and Jacky and driven by mini bus (1 hours drive) to the Safari Camp where you will enjoy a quick light lunch and a welcome drink. Not to waste any bush moments, you will then take your positions on the open Safari vehicle with your highly experienced and local resident guide and head “into Africa” for your first Safari experience. The afternoon will be spent seeking out the iconic African creatures that call the Manyeleti Reserve their home. Sundowner drinks and snacks will be enjoyed out in the bush while soaking up the vastness and peace that is the African bush before making your way back to camp for fireside drinks and an African style dinner.

From here on in, the “order of the day” will be an authentic Old World African Safari Experience!

Up with the birds before sunrise, eager for the adventure of searching for the myriad of creatures that inhabit the Greater Kruger National Park.  This experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity with the very real possibility of encountering “The Big 5 “in their natural environment. Your hosts will afford you genuine South African warmth, delicious meals and ensure that you have the best wildlife experience possible.

The Safari Camp business is a collaborative operation, focusing firmly on the enrichment of regional community residents and local service providers. The shared accommodation is  in comfortable, Safari Style Tents with ensuite bush bathrooms. The camp has a bush pool which is awesome for cooling off in the Summer months.  There is also a quaint bush massage parlor where you can absorb the sounds of nature while enjoying a little indulgence. The camp meals are all homestyle meals with an emphasis on traditional African cuisine.

This Safari experience includes 3 Open vehicle Safari experiences and an on foot walking Safari experience. All activities are conducted by extremely knowledgeable and skilled local guides who have advanced knowledge of the region and its special nuances. This Safari promises to be a life changing opportunity to commune in nature while getting to see the African Wildlife in their original habitat.

Who Is This Experience Good For

Anyone who loves nature and wildlife, beautiful scenery, who has dreamt of fireside drinks under the milky way, listening for the distant calls of hyena and lions.

Meet Our Local Hosts

Mike and Jacky have been hosting Remote Year Safari trips for several years and enjoy sharing their love and knowledge of the African bush and are focused on the authenticity of the African Safari experience they host. The community owned and managed safari camp  will blow you away with their welcoming hospitality and astounding knowledge of the African bush. Your extremely knowledgeable main Safari Guide, Mpho Malopane, has been guiding in the Manyeleti and greater Kruger areas for his entire adult life.  He is a wonderful personality with amazing tales about his daring experiences in the African Bush.  He will show you the smallest of creatures, the tracks and signs that nature gives him and the incredible beasts that make African Safari what it is.  Mpho has recently, largely through the great patronage that RY has afforded this Safari camp and this region, been able to start his own guiding business and partnering with your Safari hosts, enhancing every bush experience for each RY guest

One of the best things I've done this year!

I think this is a must-do for any remote in Cape Town. Jacky and Mpho were both such a treat to get to know over the trip, the food was authentic and amazing, and we saw so many amazing wild animals.

Go! Was one of my favorite so far this year

I'd 100% recommend doing this trip. Don't waste your time researching other safaris/camps. Jacky made it so simple and easy - I planned a trip for 8 RY remotes and she helped us find the best flight options and even helped me personally plan a 3-day Paranroma Route road trip for after the safari.

Jacky, Mpho, and the entire staff at the camp were all so friendly, accommodating, and welcoming.

I'm happy that we stayed at and supported one of the few Black-owned camps in the area. The accommodations were glamping-styled - so think like a cabin with a tent top. While they didn't have a fan or A/C when we went, it was only hot one day and we just hung out by the pool!

Mpho was also an excellent safari guide and was able to show us all the Big 5 during our safari. He worked for the big safari companies before then left to start his own company two years ago so we were happy to support him and his company's growth!

I hope to visit them all again.
