Description

Embark on a journey to the Iguazu Falls, located in the unique rainforest: Selva misionera, land of the Guaranies. We’ll visit the falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of the 275 waterfalls and the amazing rainbow created by the thundering water. During this trip, you will also have the chance to learn about the Guarani community, their traditions, cosmovision, and the use of plants for cooking and medicine.

Itinerary (This will be reconfirmed on arrival)

Day 1 (Friday)

2:00 PM: Check-in after the flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu (flight not included)
Visit to the Yriapú Guarani community
6:00 PM: Leisure time

Day 2 (Saturday)

7:00 AM to 7:30 AM: Breakfast
7:30 AM: Pick up for the National Park in Argentina
8:30 AM: Arrival at the National Park
12:00 PM: Buffet lunch at “El Fortin” (drinks not included)
12:45 PM: “La Gran Aventura”- ride a speed boat on the Iguazú River for the last view of the falls and a shower under them.
5:00 PM: Return to Hotel

Day 3 (Sunday)

7:00 AM: Breakfast
7:30AM: Check out
8:00 AM: Pick up for Brazil National Park with passport and Covid vaccination proof.
10:30 AM: Arrival at the National Park
1:00 PM: Buffet lunch at Rafain Churrascaria (drinks not included)
3:00 PM: Return to Argentina, leisure time at the hotel or Puerto Iguazú.
5PM Group transfer to the airport
5:00 PM: Group Transfer to the airport

Beyond Anything I Ever Expected

I didn't really have any expectations for this trip and maybe that's why it was so extra. I guess I just thought I was going to another Niagara Falls. Our guide, Hector, asked us if we wanted to take helicopter trips over the falls ($120/person, 10 min.) Probably the best bang for my buck ever spent. The falls were magical. We had great weather so everything was just perfect. I fell in love with RY extra hard on this trip. It's hard to put into words, but I'm a devoted skier--when I have those extra special days, I feel like that's my connection to a higher power. I felt that on this trip.

A fun weekend packed full with activity...

A fun weekend packed full with activity--early mornings and full days. A great way to enjoy nature. The waterfalls were incredible and I'm so glad I went! The only annoyance was how crowded the parks were...lots of pushy tourists, very instagram vs. reality vibe (not a RY issue, obviously). Still very worth it!

I grew up next to Niagara falls and woooowwwwwww these waterfalls are absolutely incredible. I appreciate that we were able to see both sides-- accommodation was lovely and guides were very knowledgable! MUST DO! You'll get a wet both days so I recommend fast dry clothing or waterproof bags!
