Loved it!

Loved it! Was wary about potential weather issues but we were blessed with amazing weather and the ride was awesome. A little stressful for those of us that decided to ride our own bikes but for those that rode tandem, it was a breeze. Butts got a little sore but we took frequent breaks. Guides went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and catered to all dietary needs (we had folks that we Vegan, didn't eat beef or didn't eat pork). Overall a trip I am glad I didn't miss out on!

A Must Do.

Went in December, was cold but got plenty of tea or coffee the whole time. Food was incredible, tour guides amazing, the places you see and the landscapes you ride through are unreal. Each day is better than the previous. If you don't do this. You'll regret it after seeing their Instagram photos.

The Ha Giang region is the most breathtakingly beautiful place I've ever seen

The Ha Giang region is the most breathtakingly beautiful place I've ever seen, and seeing it on a motorbike is absolutely magic. This side trip is probably my favorite of the entire year, full of pinch me scenery through a region that feels untouched by time.

The guides are amazing, fun loving locals who are there to help and ensure you have a great time. They know the roads by heart and made me totally comfortable with being on a bike very quickly. We got to know them well over many great meals.

The trip is not for everyone - and that's important to enjoying it. You may get rained on, your bum will be sore from the bike from time to time, and you will be dirty. The accomodations are all memorable and comfortable, but they aren't hotels. The days are all full, but there's a lot to see and a lot of road to cover. None of these are negatives, but I think helpful to know up front. All of these were worth it for a once in a lifetime experience seeing scenery that looks straight out of Middle Earth. Do it!
