Beautiful Day in the Mountains

Had a serene day on these well-trained horses, traveling across rivers and in the mountains. It was a beautiful experience that included lunch in the countryside at a chef's home. Very pleasant day!

I think the last time I went horseback riding I was super young so I asked if my horse had a name and because she didn't, hoping I would bond with her in the short time we had together- I named her Fé (Faith in English) because I needed to trust that she could do just fine without a lot of direction from me since I didn't know what I was doing. She delivered! The ride was absolutely beautiful and our lunch was amazing. I'd do this if I were you.

2 thumbs up! 👍👍

Had a great time horseback riding with Sebastian and our local guide from the town of Retiro about a 45 minute drive from the Selina. It was beautiful getting out to the countryside. The horses were well behaved and we had a great ride. Seb is also from that area and we were treated to seeing a bit of the town as well. A great outing and a chance to discover real paisa life! 2 thumbs up! 👍👍

Just a perfect day!

Horseback riding in El Retiro, Colombia was fantastic. First we had breakfast in Medellin of fresh fruit and yogurt and of course coffee. It took 45 minutes in a van to get to where we were going from Medellin, it was well worth the trip. The area where we rode was green, verdant, peaceful and open. The horses were well behaved and gave an easy ride. We rode into and out of streams and open pastures. We even stopped during the trip to have lunch at a home of a chief who made Chicken Cordon Blue. The food was excellent. A perfect day!!!!
