Try out your Arepa making skills! 🫓

Maria is a top notch (actual) chef and probably makes the best Arepas in Colombia! 🤫

We were warmly invited into her home and got to learn the whole process & make yummy arepas from scratch, with delicious accompaniments and local beverages. Highly recommended!!

Local and delicious food experience

Loved cooking arepas at Maria's house! Maria has a lot of culinary knowledge making this experience easy and fun. With RY, you tend to eat at restaurants most nights, so it was nice to prepare a home-cooked meal. We learned about the process and helped prepped the dough. Highly recommend the arepas!

AMAZING! If you love to cook and you love Arepas, you will enjoy this experience!

This is a unique experience. Remote Year has partnered with a very talented and extremely nice local chef "Maria" who invited us into her home for an evening of Arepas instruction! Maria has studied culinary arts and is an expert at all styles of Colombian Arepas preparation, cooking and serving them. Maria is also one of the kindest people we've ever met! Her arepas are authentic and in the traditional Medellin style. She walked us through making them, forming them, cooking them, and then we all enjoyed dinner together! What a fantastic experience. Thanks again Maria and thank you to Remote Year. I recommend you experience this authentic Colombian tradition and sign up. You won't regret it!

Such a welcoming experience

Such a welcoming experience. I loved that we learned to cook in Maria’s home. We each played a little part and left with a full belly.
