Description
Set out to explore the charming cobblestone city of La Antigua Guatemala and learn more about the rich history and stunning architecture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today you will take in the highlights of the beautiful colonial city which was once the third capital of Guatemala known as the City of Saint James and which, for over two centuries, served as the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala, which extended from present day Chiapas through Costa Rica.

-Palace of the Captain General and Municipal buildings as well as some of the many famous churches and a ruined monastery.

Itinerary
Meet at designated meet point (details on hub event). Greeting by guide and set off to explore the historic centre of the city, this includes the main Plaza and municipal buildings and depending on the restoration projects we also visit a local ruin selected by the guide, as the city always is working on restoring these old buildings and monasteries stuck in time and quite difficult to maintain. The whole experience is waling and will take up most of the morning hours. After the experience make sure you ask your local guide for a good recommendation for lunch (not included).
