Description
The old markets of Istanbul marks the westernmost end of 8000 mile long Silk Road all the way from Xian, China. You will be taking a relaxing ferry journey from Kadikoy to Eminonu like an ordinary Istanbullu followed by walking into spice market also known as Egyptian Bazaar. Recently restored to its former glory, 90 shops display any type of spices, herbs, oils as well as tea and coffee culture products. Around the block, you will also witness the most diverse patterns of Iznik tiles at the tiny Rustem Pasha Mosque built by the great Architect Sinan.
On the way to the Grand Bazaar we walk thorough a maze of streets presents the most vibrant shopping culture of textiles in the city. Grand Bazaar’s secrets is a mind-blowing experience. You will see the finest examples of goldsmiths, silversmiths, antique dealers, fabrics, leather products, semi precious stones, calligraphic examples and finally the most advanced art of rug weaving.
In a medieval school complex called madrasa we will have a break trying nargile (water pipe) along with tea, apple tea and turkish coffee.
